Frequently asked questions
SEO is the work of getting your site into shape so Google can find it without you paying for ads. In practice: making sure Google can reach your site, understand each page, read the titles and show it to people who are searching. We measure indexing, broken links, titles and loading speed - and, on the annual plans, we fix what's within our reach. We don't sell top spots: we fix what stops Google finding, indexing and showing you.
Yes, if you already have a site and it brings in no enquiries, if you've just put it live, or if nobody has ever looked at the technical side. A restaurant that wants to show up for people searching nearby, a hairdresser, a plumber: anyone who depends on being found locally has the most to gain. You don't need to understand any of it: the technical side is ours. All we need is the access and accurate information about your business - and we'll tell you what we found in plain English.
No - and be wary of anyone who does. Positions depend on Google's algorithm, on your competitors and on factors nobody controls. What we do guarantee is the work in the plan you choose: on the Audit, the monthly crawl and the report on what's wrong; on Optimisation and Total Presence, also fixing what's broken, titles and descriptions, and setting up your Google tools. We commit to the work, not to the position - and that's what the contract says.
We ask for your web address, the platform, where it's hosted and a technical contact. On the annual plans we also need the site's language and, on Total Presence, your business area. On the Audit, crawling starts immediately and your first report arrives at month's end. On the annual plans you give us access to your Google accounts, or we set them up, and we fix whatever your plan covers, with a monthly report. If we install visitor stats, your site then needs a cookie notice, which is your responsibility.
The technical side is where you see work first: indexing errors, broken links and titles go into the queue right at the start. What happens in the search results is another matter - Google decides, there's no fixed date and no way to force it. The ongoing plans run for a year because most of the work sits at the start and the rest is continuity. From the first month you get the report showing what we found and, on the annual plans, what we fixed.
You can, at no surcharge. SEO work happens on the site itself and in your Google accounts, and that's the same on any host. The one difference: fixes that depend on server configuration are only possible if the access you give us allows it, and some hosts won't let anyone near it. We tell you up front what can't be done, rather than charging you for it.
You do, always. Search Console, Analytics and your Google Business Profile are created in your name and are yours. You give us management access and you can revoke it whenever you like - but without access we can't run the service, and the period already paid for isn't refunded, without prejudice to your statutory rights. If those accounts hold third-party personal data, such as your reviews, we process it on your behalf under our data processing agreement. When the plan ends we remove our access and hand you a final report.
The Audit is €19/month, no commitment: we crawl your site every month. It flags problems; it doesn't fix them, and it renews month by month. If you already have our Premium Compliance plan for legal documents, the Audit is included there - don't buy it twice. Optimisation (€690/year) and Total Presence (€1,290/year) fix them: we set up your Google tools and work the titles of up to 15 or 40 pages, and Total Presence adds your Google Business Profile and local search. No VAT is added: we are covered by the VAT exemption under Article 53 of the Portuguese VAT Code, so the price you see is the price you pay.
Because most of the work sits at the start. Paying up front is the commitment - no tie-in, no penalty. You pay €690 or €1,290 once, for 12 months, no VAT added (Article 53 of the Portuguese VAT Code). It renews automatically, with 14 days' notice; price changes need 30 days' notice and you can cancel at no cost. Cancel in your client area up to the day before: you keep the service until the end of the period you have paid for, and that period is not refunded.
You can. As a consumer you have 14 calendar days from your order confirmation to cancel without giving a reason: just email support@raiaweb.pt. At the order stage you can ask for the service to start straight away, within those 14 days - if you ask and then cancel, you only pay for the days you have already used, and we refund the rest within 14 days, same payment method. If you don't ask for an immediate start, the service only begins at the end of the period and, if you cancel, we refund everything. As a business or professional, the law doesn't give you this right.
No. We don't run paid campaigns or handle ad budgets: it's expressly excluded from the contract, as is buying links on other sites. We only work on organic search results. Anything beyond your plan's limits sits outside it too: extra pages, a product catalogue or a second language are priced separately, chosen at the order stage or quoted. Support runs through tickets in your client area, logged around the clock, with an average response time of 8 hours.
